Nephrotoma quadrifaria
Nephrotoma quadrifaria are a species in the order two-winged flies (Diptera) and the family crane flies (Tipulidae). They are found in Central and Southern Europe.

Adult Nephrotoma quadrifaria reach body lengths of 5 –15 mm. Their bodies are black and yellow in colour. The wings bear a clearly visible dark mark. Near the tip of their wings the veins are running across.

Nephrotoma quadrifaria prefer to live in meadows and bushes. The adults feed on water and nectar and the larvae live off plant matter.
