Harvestmen
Harvestmen (Opiliones) are an order in the class Arachnida. There are about 4,000 different species worldwide, some of which are designed like Acarina or compact and mite shaped and others which are long legged. Harvestmen are from 2 to 22 mm in length. In Central Europe, many species are endangered. Cyphopalpatores are the species of Harvestmen which occur in Europe. Some examples of this are: Sironidae, Travuniida...

...ppers usually start sucking along the leaf veins and later spread out onto the whole leaf. After a while the leaves of infected plants are densely dotted with numerous pale stains and they then wither and fall off. Similar damage is caused by spider mites. For spider mite infestation, the evidence is the lack of Rose leafhopper and their missing larvae on the leaves’ undersides.

Mites both carry and cause diseases and can trigger allergies (house dust mite). They can also cause damage where food is stored (Acarus siro). Some types of mites, however, are useful. Gamasid mites exterminate plant pests and some species are put to good use in the production of certain cheeses.
