| Horse flies | | ...dflies, zimbs, clegs or marchflies, are a family of flies and belong to the blood sucking insects. There are approximately 4000 species of horse flies worldwide. Some examples of these species are: twin-lobed deerfly (Chrysops relictus), pale giant horsefly (abanus bovinus), band-eyed brown horsefly (Tabanus bromius), Tabanus sudeticus and notch-horned cleg (Haematopota pluvialis).
